Mel and Jason brave the cold!

It hit -27C (-17F) the day Melanie and Jason got married, but you wouldn't even know as everyone was in a great mood and had TONS of fun... including us! Yes, this is February in Edmonton.

Dogs crack me up... LOL!!

Mel had a beautiful dress... and to think she almost didn't even try it on!
(She already picked her top 3 and almost skipped this one completely!)

Highlands United church. I LOVE old buildings!

Nice bouquet!

Hangin' with the guys

Whew! Looks cold outside! (It was)

Melanie and Jason were awesome. They spent a good 7 minutes outside in the freezing cold and didn't even seem fazed. Edmontonian blood definitely running through the veins.

First Dance

The Polish Country Lodge was rustic yet beautiful. Classy with a touch of western flair.

Mel hardly left the dance floor!

Mel and Jay, it was an AWESOME wedding! You guys are SO easy going it was amazing. I LOVE the winter and was thrilled when you asked. Not to mention you guys are so much fun! Hope you had fun in Punta Cana!

Hanging with Jenn, Eric, and Ruth

No, three people did not get married. I decided I would tag along with my friend and colleague Jennifer Jacula who was shooting the wedding of Ruth and Eric in Edmonton. Jenn serves the rural areas east of Edmonton, and while Ruth and Eric are from St. Paul, the wedding was to be in Edmonton.

I had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone! I thank you for letting me join you for your winter wedding. Gosh I LOVE winter. I think I'm the only one in the city who LOVES the recent -38C weather (-56C with windchill). It actually makes me happy. hahaha.

And here is a shot of Jenn in action! Making great use of the natural window light:

We weren't allowed to photograph the ceremony due to the house rules but still had a blast!!
