Cheryl and Manu's Wedding!

(désolé... le français... c'est ma troisième langue. Excusez ma grammaire terrible...)

What started out as a disastrous day turned out to be a completely perfect and beautiful wedding. Around 5AM while staying at Cheryl's sister Sheila's place, they woke up to Edmonton's LARGEST building fire in history. The kicker was it was right by Cheryl and Manu's condo. Luckily, it didn't spread to their place but it sure got close! Also, that morning, Manu woke up to a horrible fever and felt terrible. The police soon barricaded the community and the groomsmen could not get in to retrieve their tuxes.

But, as mentioned before, it turned out to be a perfect day!

Mais, comme mentionné antérieurement, le jour était parfait!

The day started at "Dolce Soleil" salon:

Heather and Ryan's Wedding!

Well, here's the 07/07/07 wedding! The weather was absolutely beautiful in Calgary. not TOO hot, some cloud cover which eventually burned away to reveal an awesome blue sky.

Heather and Ryan had a beautiful, small wedding. They were both in a great mood all day and we had a lot of fun!

Here is Natahsa touching up some of Heather's makeup:

The ceremony was at the beautiful St. Joseph's church:

Hey, a priest that does a magic trick to illustrate a point in his sermon. That was cool!

Sharon and Mike's 'Light Industrial' Engagement!

When we got together with Sharon and Mike, we were told that they were looking for a 'light industrial' theme. I wasn't too sure what that meant, but I was really looking forward to it because it sure sounded like some serious awesomeness!!

Well, we were right, it was DEFINITELY fun! Sharon and Mike were so fun to hang out with; they were constantly laughing and joking around. The joke of the day was Napoleon Dynamite quotes. They even practiced the 'fist under the chin' pose Uncle Rico used. hahaha. It was great!

From streets under construction, train yards, discarded rail ties, steamrollers, practically condemned buildings, alleyways (with garbage scattered around), and even trash cans, the shoot went from light industrial to light trash.... ooops. But Sharon and Mike seemed more than happy to go along with anything, and we got some great pictures in the meantime! (Those two are so happy together they would have even had a great time in a pit of molten lava! None available for the shoot though...)

The asphalt was torn out on the road to the railyard, so we had to park and walk it.

Let's try some train hopping:

And a huge pile of discarded, rotted railway ties:

This old church was the cleanest building in the area! =)

...and they're STILL smiling and laughing. (They are standing right beside some trash bins in a messy alley)

You guys ROCK! Again, thanks for taking us on this little industrial adventure. It was so much fun and we saw a bit of Calgary we never really experienced before. Looking forward to the outdoor wedding!

Heather and Chris' Wedding!

The morning was unique in that Heather wanted us to go and capture shots of the guys golfing. So off to Sherwood Park golf course we went! The golf started and of course, the groomsmen were up to some silliness. Seeing as how Chris is a mechanic, they immediately tried to modify the golf carts to go faster. (They couldn't as the speed governor was under the airbox and therefore, unaccessible without tools) Then came pranks, Happy Gilmore swings, racing up huge dirt piles, and eventually a crash into a tree. hahaha, it was a fun morning.

We met up with the girls and they were busy making bouquets. Apparently, their florist cancelled on them on friday in the late afternoon so they made a mad rush buying all the pink roses they could find. (Her original choice of purple prairie wildflowers could not be found anywhere) The bouquets ended up looking fantastic anyhow; they did a fantastic job! Then Heather got into her dress with a unique feature in that it had pink crinoline hidden underneath!

The wedding cars were AWESOME! The main car was a 56 Nomad that was BEAUTIFULLY restored. Every bit of this car was just perfect! With an LS1 engine under the hood it could also move like nothing else. The engine cover was custom and handmade! The second car was a Nova SS.

After the ceremony the photoshoot got rained out. It finally stopped though but we only managed a few shots before the reception started. Their relationship started on the baseball diamond, as they are both avid players and that's where they built their relationship. So off to the ball diamond to take some pics!

Here, as usual, the guys making fun of Chris:

A quiet moment...

Plenty of laughs at the reception!

First Dance!

Then after 10pm we took Chris and Heather outside to get a few more shots in to make up for the rained out formals.

All in all a fun and wild day! Thanks for all the laughs and great times! You guys rock! Congratulations once again!!
