Congrats Christine and Kris!!

A couple days before the event, Kris got came down with some nasty virus and he couldn't even get out of bed. He was sick right up until the wedding day and was recovered and well that morning! Close call! What could have been a trying day for them turned out really well! They were both full of laughs and we enjoyed the entire day immensely!

First Kiss

Christine was so beautiful!

Everyone in Edmonton knows there currently are dandelions everywhere!!

It was AWESOME. Thanks Christine and Kris! You really know how to throw a party! Merry and I had so much fun. And cabbage rolls and perogies are one of my favourite meals! yeah!! Thanks for the laughs and great times. Christine, you're so funny-- you agreed to do a cheesy retro pose on that ugly cheesy couch. Ha ha ha!! You rock! And you guys look great together! Thanks again!

Stephanie and Alan Engagement!

The afternoon was really HOT. So that evening when we met up with Stephanie and Alan at the Alberta Legislature grounds, Merry and I showed up in shorts only to be greeted by storm clouds, wind gusts, scatters of rain, and even blowing dust. But hey, between gusts and showers, we managed to snap a few pics and have some fun!

We then headed over to Starbucks, up the street from the Legislature. We went there because that is where Stephanie and Alan had their first date! So they went and sat at the same table at the same shop. (Merry politely asked the people sitting there to get lost. haha, no really, they were really good about it and it wasn't a problem at all)

Thanks for the fun evening guys, and for enduring the unstable weather! Looking forward to the wedding! (Which is actually quite soon!)

Mandy and Marty's Wedding!

It was a blast working with Mandy and Marty on Saturday!

They are the type of couple we love to work with. Laid back, fun, and pretty much gave us the freedom to do our thing all day. Mandy's two sisters, Michelle and Tanya are hairdressers so there was no shortage of beautifully sculpted hair that day! It was awesome!

The ceremony was at the same church I was baptized at about 3 decades ago so it was a bit of a homecoming for me!

The weather cooperated with us; it was perfect! It really couldn't have gotten better!

The very pretty dress:

This is the best way to get hair/makeup done: in your PJ's! Talk about relaxing!

Sharing a quick moment during the ceremony:

It was such a beautiful day at Hermitage park!

I love trees. Who doesn't?

The cake was awesome, and it was made by one of Mandy's friends!

So thanks again for all the fun! Everyone was so nice and we really did have a blast. Everything was fantastic and the day really went quite well! Everything came together! Del, your suit was hilarious! (He brought out the suit he wore at his wedding 37 years ago, hahaha) You all were a barrel of laughs and Merry and I really enjoyed the whole event! We'll talk to you soon!

Help us!!! Bunnies!!!

Yesterday I discovered a couple of tiny bunnies who have taken up residence in our garden beside our house. At first I thought they were mice, but after seeing them clumsily hop away and took a closer look, I found out that they were tiny baby rabbits! There were two and both could fit in the palm of your hand:

We couldn't find a mother anywhere, nor a nest, so we're at a loss as to what to do. After researching wild rabbits on the internet, it says that the mother usually only comes by for a few minutes during the night, but the babies don't wander far from the nest. With no nest in sight, we have no idea if they are orphaned or if they aren't.

So if there are any bunny experts out there that could shed some light on the matter, please leave a comment. Seriously, we have no idea what to do. We don't want to interfere if the mother is around, but we don't want to leave them to die in our garden if they are orphaned. Who knows???

In any case, they are ridiculously cute. So if you have advice, PLEASE let us know!

Thanks!

Beauty Close to Home

It was a foggy morning today. Thought it would be a neat time to grab the camera and get some shots. It was about 6:30AM so I walked over to the Mill Creek Ravine, which is just footsteps from our house. This place is like a woodland paradise tucked in the city. It's so pretty you'd never guess you were in the middle of a large town.

Anyhow, it was nice to shoot unrushed, unpressured, and shoot targets that weren't moving 100 miles an hour! Haha. Those brides sure can hustle!! Anyhow, this is is the result of my 30 minute excursion.

The creek is muddy from the spring runoff and rain right now. There are bridges like this scattered through the ravine for it's awesome biking/walking trails. It's gorgeous walking here! It's like you've left the city completely!

And here is something that you don't see every day. It appears someone tossed their unwanted chair off the Whyte Avenue bridge and it landed in the creek. How unfortunate someone would do that, but at least it made for an interesting picture...
