Stefanie and Jim's Engagement!

So we met up with Stefanie, Jim, and Maggie at the Legislature. The weather was cooperating well which meant there were a lot of people around. We even ran into two or three other e-shoots going on at the same time, a grad/family shoot, and a ton of joggers. wow!

Regardless, we had a lot of fun enjoying the warm sun:

Jim thought these shots infront of the doors would be great black and whites...

...and what a coincidence! Just what I was thinking! I guess great minds think alike! LOL

Maggie wanted to chase all the rabbits running around:

We had such a great time with you guys. Merry had fun dogsitting during the shots; she loves puppies! And thanks for the bug spray! =)

Kristeena and Wayne's 'seedy' engagement...

Well, June is a tough month for people with allergies because the trees were releasing seeds all over the place! Many parts of the river valley looked like it had been snowed on! So in addition to the mosquitos were the seeds flying all over, which was perfect for Kristeena and Wayne's black outfits... ha ha ha.

We started out on the High Level Bridge.

Such a happy couple!

The sun was falling quickly!

Then we headed UNDER the bridge.

Eventually, Kristeena and Wayne ended up having a seed fight. If the seeds could have been rolled up into projectiles like snow, I'm sure they would have used it.

And soon we ended up at the Powerplant, Wayne's favourite U of A hangout. Where every engineer likely spends most of their degree. hahaha

All Merry and I could say is... thank you for the entertainment. You guys are just too funny and have great senses of humour. We probably never stopped laughing the whole time! The wedding is sure to be a blast!

Odessa and Joey's Engagement!

We met up with Odessa and Joey at the U of A for a fun little e-shoot! The only problem was... there were mosquitos galore! Good thing they brought the deep woods bug spray, otherwise it could have been nasty! Thanks for letting us borrow some!

Sitting on the tiny ledges almost falling off. Lucky for me, they didn't fall!

These little fire escapes were so neat we had to use one..

And of course we ventured into the river valley... to get eaten by mosquitos.

They look so good together!

Thanks again guys! We had a lot of fun! Looking forward to the wedding!

Connie and Wilson's Wedding!!

I have to admit I was wondering if Connie would last the entire day when I heard she was getting ready starting at 4:30AM. Wow that's early. She didn't seem fazed though and looked beautiful all day!

Her tiara was really cool. It was also very heavy. No plastic here...

Just got the dress on

In Chinese tradition, the guys arrived at the bride's house and weren't allowed in until they did some funny things and answered some questions

Finally in the car after walking under the red umbrella

The ceremony was beautiful. They had written their own vows. Here's a first kiss:

And a second kiss =)

We then went off to the University of Alberta

The wedding party was great to work with

Some interesting buildings on campus

And of course, the reception had some funny games to subject Connie and Wilson to:

The program was very entertaining.

Then the wedding party amazed the crowd with a choreographed dance... which was awesome:

And of course, Connie and Wilson amazed everyone with their first dance. They are both seasoned ballroom dancers, and it really showed!

It was a wild day with so many things going on. I even managed to wipe out running up some stairs and thankfully didn't damage any gear, unless you count my fingers... ouch. They seem to be fine now.

Connie, Wilson, thanks for letting Merry and I participate in your celebration! You guys managed to plan a jam packed FULL day of events but it all happened on schedule. It was amazing! So congrats to you both! We'll see you again soon!

Stephanie and Alan's Wedding!

Stephanie and Alan's wedding was just fantastic! The pace of the entire day was SO RELAXED and calm it was unbelievable. In fact, Stephanie even started to make *me* a sandwich to eat before Merry shooed her away so she could do more important things.

The ceremony was in Stephanie's parents' backyard. It was just plain gorgeous! What a great place! We soon followed Stephanie and Alan into the Edmonton River Valley, where Stephanie grew up jogging regularly. They were such great sports to walk around, sit, and get their expensive clothes dirty on the riverbank sand. Haha, you guys are awesome!

Then the reception followed and was at the Derrick Club. Again, it was just beautiful. (that seemed to be the theme of the day) The food was amazing, and the speeches were *all* hilarious! It was certainly a gem of a wedding.

Shaira (sorry if I misspelled) the maid of honour was always there for her:

Stu (again, sorry if misspelled) bringing his beautiful daughter out:

Did I mention the backyard was gorgeous? (Thanks to Merry for climbing onto the roof of their house for this shot!)

Beautiful ceremony:

Yup, it was about 34 degrees outside... and SUNNY!

Ahhh, l'amour!!

Stephanie leads us to the River Valley:

What can I say, absolutely stunning:

They're so cute together!
The Derrick club:

Some nice settings!

And like I said, EVERY speech was hilarious!

Thanks again for choosing us to be a part of your day! Because it was truly spectacular! Everything was just gorgeous, most notably you, Stephanie! You're a lucky guy Alan! You had such fun on your wedding that it's obvious you'll both always have such fun in life. I hope you're having fun in Spain and Scotland!!
