Stefanie and Jim's rainy wedding!

Yup. Rain. That could be one very accurate way of describing Stefanie and Jim's wedding. But the words: happiness, humour, joy, optimism, and love are far more accurate. Seriously, Stefanie did not seem let down by the cold and rain at all. A beautiful girl with an amazing attitude to match!!!

Getting that beautiful dress on!

Amidst the chaos of a crowded house, Stefanie is still smiling!

A very nice ceremony at St. Albert Catholic Parish:

Newlyweds leaving the gorgeous church

The had this AWESOME idea where instead of a limo, they rented an RV to fit everyone and have enough room for drinks and sandwiches! Brilliant!! The funny part was, the driver was a relative visiting from Holland, and so was the navigator. Somehow they still got us to all the venues on time!

Off to the Legislature...

...where it rained and rained...

...and I got soaked! Nothing damped their spirits though!

Stefanie looked amazing... even while getting bombarded by water droplets.

And off to Dairy Queen! Not even being wet and cold was gonna stop Stefanie and Jim from enjoying some ice cream!

And at the reception... of course there were embarrassing stories

First dance

Jim may be a married man, but it looks like he's still got it... hahaha

So first things first, we gotta thank you for keeping such high spirits even though it rained all day and we had to shoot in the rain! You could have very easily made this a very painful irritating day for us. But all we remember is having a lot of fun and laughing a heck of a lot with you all!

Your wedding was beautiful and we thank you for letting us share in it! Keep in touch!!

Renée and Doug's wedding!

It was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding. The sun was out and it was not blistering hot. Unusual for a sunny August day!

Merry and I met up with Renée at her place.

Doug helped her out with her necklace:

Once a Harley guy, always a Harley guy:

Ok, there was this really strange ring around the sun around 2:15 in the afternoon. Did anyone else see it? We noticed and just had to take a shot of it. Rainbow? There was not a hint of rain! And I've never seen a rainbow as a complete circle like this.

Renée and Doug seem to have so much fun together!

Enjoying the beautiful day and beautiful park.

The ceremony was at the lovely Woodbridge park:

Sharing a quiet moment

The cake was really pretty

Well, we know you won't read this until after you get back from Italy, but we'd like to say that we had a SUCH a fun time! Renée, you planned a very beautiful day that moved at a very relaxed pace. You and Doug are so great together; we enjoyed capturing the many laughs you two love to share so often! And Steven, we admired how cooperative and respectful you were; you have patience well beyond your years!

Thanks for picking us to hang out with you for the day! We hope you had as much fun as we did!!

Kathy and Jeff's rainy wedding!

I think this was the first saturday this wedding season in Edmonton where it rained a lot during the day. Unfortunately, Kathy and Jeff's planned outdoor wedding had to be moved indoors at the last moment, and since the photo session was scheduled before the ceremony, we could not go out and get her dress all wet and dirty in the rain and mud. You would think that would put a bride down, but Kathy did not seem fazed in the least! Major props to you, Kathy! Besides, rain is good luck, right?

Groomsmen torturing each other: a standard preparation procedure.

Kathy looked absolutely beautiful!

Due to rain, all photos had to be taken either in the Royal Glenora Club's covered driveway (while dodging cars), under one of their patio umbrellas, or in the foyer stairwell. It was fun!

A very nice set of rings!

What would a wedding be without embarassing stories...

...and your best friends there by your side to laugh at you!

The day certainly had it's share of cute kids

The ring bearer was one heck of a dancer! Here he pulled out some breakdancing:

It was quite a lively party...

...perhaps too lively for some:

So a BIG thanks to both Kathy and Jeff for keeping the spirits high despite the weather. You could have easily made it a difficult day for us but your fantastic attitudes made it an extremely enjoyable day! And we also felt like VIP's to be seated at the 'family' table right at the front! We had a blast getting to know everyone we were sitting with! Keep in touch and we'll talk to you soon!

Sharon and Mike's wedding!

While Sharon and Mike's SUPER fun engagement shoot involved rough industrial areas and garbage strewn alleyways (Pics can be seen HERE), their wedding was the complete opposite and showcased some of Alberta's finest beauty. The ceremony was held at the Riverview B&B, with a gorgeous view of the Sheep River and the valley it carved into the landscape.

But the day started at hedcandi salon in Calgary:

It was so neat, Mike put up coloured markers on the route to help guests find their way to the B&B:

A beautiful ceremony with a gorgeous view!

The driveway is even tree lined:

Haha, Mike pulled a prank on Sharon by switching the rings for the ceremony. Can you imagine what was going through Sharon's head when he put a ring on her finger that said, "Mr. Roboto" on it? (You can see her confused reaction in the slideshow below)

After the reception and some amazing Thai food, we went for another photoshoot! We made a quick stop for a couple shots on some good ol' Alberta prairie farmland:

Getting hungry and thirsty on the way, of course a stop at the Hi Ho Gas station was in order:

And then we arrive to our destination, the gorgeous Kananaskis Country that is home to many of Canada's most beautiful parks:

One of Mike and Sharon's favourite places!

Ok, now these two are daredevils... they sat on the edge of this 30+ ft cliff above a shallow icy cold river with a stone base:

Which forced ME to do the same. I was freaked out, but tried to hide it of course because I'm such a tough guy... LOL yeah whatever...

And here is the shot we got out of it. I'd say it was worth it:

Beautiful forests, beautiful couple:

Beautiful rivers, beautiful couple:

Hahaha, here are the REAL rings. That's a little better, isn't it, Sharon?

Merry and I would like to sincerely thank you for such a fantastic day. Anyone who knows me knows that I think Alberta is the best place in the entire world, and being able to hang out in some of it's most beautiful areas was such a treat. It was like we weren't even working. Seriously. We had SO much fun hanging out and chatting with you at the falls. You guys are awesome! And yes, of course we are game to go out for more Thai food together sometime! We can't wait!
