Donna and Jamie get hitched in Jasper, Canada!

I was very excited for this wedding. Jasper is probably one of my MOST favourite places on the planet, so when Donna and Jamie asked me to shoot it, I was all over it!

And it couldn't have been better! Sometimes for destination weddings, you don't meet the couple until wedding time and there's always a hint of fear your personalities may clash, but it was soon obvious that Jamie and Donna (here from New Zealand) were about as happy and nice as people could get! Score!

Jamie (from the UK), and Donna (from Australia), met while working on the Jasper Tramway years ago, so it made perfect sense to hold their wedding here in high style like they did.

We started with hair and makeup.

This is Donna on the phone when the wedding coordinator called to tell her the outdoor wedding is no longer possible (due to weather) and they will move it indoors. This is probably the grumpiest she looked all day:

And then we jump to Jamie's preparations (which lasted all of 5 minutes):

The ceremony was held at the beautiful Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Originally outside but moved to the Palisades room, which was also beautiful:

Following the beautiful ceremony was a champagne reception:

And then Donna and Jamie booked a ticket for all the guests to go up the Tramway where they met! Then Jamie got pressured into reliving his role as tour guide for the trip up. I was amazed, the guy remembered the entire speech complete with names of rivers, peaks, lakes, altitude figures, and didn't stumble once! What a killer memory Jamie!!

And up at the TOP! It was 2 degrees and SUPER windy! Very cold, but as you can see, STILL neither of them can stop smiling!

And the Jasper townsite.

And you CAN'T take a trip to Japser without a picture with Jasper the Bear!

We then drove out to Pyramid Lake, but by then, the rain and wind had really picked up so we didn't get much of a chance out there:

Haha, their custom cake toppers were great! Totally made to look like them, complete with clothing, bouquet, and hairstyles to match the real thing!

Enjoying a moment in the first dance:

And we stole them from the reception for a bit to get some more night shots on the JPL grounds!

The king and queen seated in their thones... in the JPL lobby. haha

Having some fun with their rings:

And finally having fun on the dance floor!

And here's everyone who came. 90% of whom do not even live on this continent:

So Donna and Jamie... like we told you before, we had a TON of fun. It was a blast getting to know your family and friends; they're all soooo nice! It was just an amazing time with amazing people. We sincerely thank you for letting us partake in this amazing celebration!

I know you are in Peru now so please have tons of fun and bring back lots of pictures for you to show us!

Hi Lloyd! Thank you so so much for the awesome job you did! Jamie and I love the pictures! We´re still on honeymoon, but everytime we go to an internet cafe we look at your pictures! You and Merry were absolutely amazing on they day - you captured the whole day perfectly. We loved meeting you both, you´re so friendly and easy going, and it´s a shame you guys were working so hard on the day, it would have been nice to have more time to hang out with you! But we´re so grateful for all of your hard work. You´re amazing! Seriously a photographic GENIUS! Can´t wait to see all the pics when we get back! We´ve extended our honeymoon for a few extra months now - we´re travelling through Bolivia, Argentina and Chile, so we´ll see you in the New Year!
